Food Bank

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front-line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Residents can search their post code for food and groceries to prepare or meals that are prepared on site.

Local Food Banks

Food relief is available in Clunes, Creswick, Daylesford and Trentham thanks to the Neighbourhood Houses.

Clunes: 70 Bailey Street, Clunes.

Creswick: 19 Victoria Street, Creswick.

Trentham: 66 High Street, Trentham.

These services are contact-free and operate 24/7. We ask that you be considerate of those who may also be accessing this service and kindly avoid leaving expired produce or food that has been cooked.

Food relief services

Anglicare (Creswick & Clunes)

Food distribution for those in need, held on the second Tuesday of the month at the Creswick Hall at 10am. Also provide deliveries of essential non-perishable food items once a month for those in need. To register, call the hotline on (03) 5333 0600.

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH): Emergency Relief

CHRH provides some emergency relief food and fuel for residents in need.

Central Highlands Rural Health: Meals on Wheels

Nutritious meals delivered Monday to Friday by CHRH staff and community volunteers.

Clunes Neighbourhood House: Open House Dinners

Meals brought to your door on a Tuesday morning. Meals are $7 for adults and $5 for children. Meals will need to be reheated as meals are delivered throughout the day. Order online or call (03) 5345 4078.

Daylesford 5000 Club

Offering a free sit-down lunch to the community every Friday 12-1pm at the Victoria Park Pavilion (Daylesford). For more information, contact Loretta on 0439 364 857.

Daylesford Good Grub Club

Good Grub Club provides a free and nutritious community lunch every Thursday (9am-1:30pm), operating out of 56 Central Springs Road Daylesford. Free food relief hampers are available for shire-wide delivery for those in need. For urgent help, call 0475 430 326 or visit their Facebook page

Uniting Ballarat (Clunes)

Available to residents living north of Clunes. Emergency food relief through the provision of a free grocery shop provided to those with a valid health care card.
