The Council Plan 2025-2029 is being developed from a range of contributions, including a Deliberative Engagement Panel made up of community members from across the Shire. It's now time for the wider community to have their say on the Plan's priorities for our services and amenities. Complete the survey on our Participate Hepburn webpage before Sunday 27 April. Hard copies at libraries and hubs.
Due to the multiple public holidays, there are some impacts to Council's services and offices.
Council, with the Department of Home Affairs, conducts citizenship ceremonies for residents who have successfully completed an Australian Citizenship application.
Once a candidate’s application has been approved by the Department of Home Affairs, the final step to becoming an Australian citizen is to make a Pledge of Commitment at an Australian citizenship ceremony.
Candidates will receive an invitation from the Department confirming their citizenship ceremony date and location and other important information.
Please note, Council has no involvement in approving an application or allocating candidates to ceremony dates.
At citizenship ceremonies, we celebrate candidates becoming Australian citizens. Participants are welcome to bring family and friends to share this special occasion.
For more information on previous or upcoming Citizenship ceremonies, please contact 03 5348 2306 or email shire@hepburn.vic.gov.au
For information about applying for Australian citizenship, visit the Department of Home Affairs or contact the Citizenship Information Line on 131 880 Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.
