Horse eating grass

Are you an equine enthusiast? Do you spend more time buying hay, than riding your horses? Do you want to learn how to cultivate a healthy soil system, to grow more pastures for healthier, happier horses?

The course has been designed to assist horse owners to improve their skills and knowledge about grazing—resulting in an increase in soil health and perennial pasture species, including native species while maintaining the health of their horses.

It is structured for small landholders (2-20Ha) and designed to use the resources and time you have available to improve your property.

$75 per property (2 attendees).

Each session will be held from 2pm – 6pm on Fridays

  • Day 1: 7 February - a four-hour face-to-face theory learning session
  • Day 2: 21 February - a two-hour practical on-property and two-hour theory session
  • Day 3: 14 March - a two-hour practical on-property and two-hour theory session

On completion of the course, an optional one-hour, one-on-one practical property visit to your property will be available.

Horses owners are invited to learn the principles of regenerative grazing and sustainable property design. The course is delivered by horse owner and rider Justine Image, and Jason McAinch. Together, they have combined passion and knowledge of horses and sustainable land management to adapt regenerative grazing principles to a horse owners context.

Positions are strictly limited! Applications are invited from residents of the City of Greater Bendigo, Hepburn Shire, Mont Alexander Shire and Macedon Ranges Shire.

Applications close on Friday January 30, 2025. To register your interest, Express Interest
