How you’ll make a difference

Our WHS Advisor will provide support to the WHS and People and Culture Team and assist with implementing new initiatives, systems, processes and training in an organisation that values and places priority on the health, safety and wellbeing of staff working in a wide range of roles across our shire.

You will be passionate about safety and enjoy engaging with staff across all areas and levels of the organisation. In this role you be the first point of contact on a range of WHS matters and will have a strong focus on monitoring and compliance and have key input into how we develop and implement new processes.

Our ideal candidate

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated individual with a strong commitment to creating safe and healthy workplace environments.

Completion of a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or demonstrated experience working hands on in a WHS environment in mixed environments that include industrial elements is required. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enabling them to work proactively with management, team leaders and staff at all levels. Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures along with experience in risk assessment, site inspections and safety audits are required. A valid Victorian Drivers License is a must.
