  • Based in Daylesford up to 50% work from home option
  • $129,130 package for 0.80 FTE (inclusive of superannuation, optional private use motor vehicle and additional 1 week of annual leave in 2024-2025 pro-rata)

How you’ll make a difference

Following an internal restructure, we have a new position Manager Communications and Customers. This role will provide outstanding leadership to the newly created Communications and Customers department, driving strategic direction in communications and engagement, customer experience, libraries and visitor servicing. 

As a proven leader with experience contributing at a senior level, you will have a genuine passion for advocating customer experience, enhancing the wellbeing and experience of Council’s diverse communities and visitors, complemented with strong strategic and transformational leadership experience. 

Our ideal candidate

To be considered for this opportunity, you will be an innovative leader with proven senior communications, visitor economy, customers, libraries or community engagement experience in challenging environments, adept at demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work through complexity. You are politically astute with a strong customer orientation and will bring your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with your exceptional stakeholder management skills to the role. You will engage and collaborate effectively with colleagues and Councillors and traverse seamlessly between the operational and strategic spaces.
