How you’ll make a difference

Hepburn Shire Council’s Finance Team has a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to join the team in a restructured position that has arisen due to an existing vacancy and upcoming planned retirement. Work will predominantly be in the financial reporting and asset accounting streams with opportunities to work with a broad range of services across the Council. There are challenges ahead that will throw up a range of interesting and rewarding future accomplishments for you and your supporting team.

Our ideal candidate

Applicants should demonstrate an ability to learn new systems and software quickly and be enthusiastic about the delivery of high-quality financial planning and analysis support to the organisation. A proven track record of delivering budgets and forecasting models together with a well-developed understanding of financial sustainability in the Local Government context would be advantageous. Ideally candidates would have a formal financial qualification, however aptitude and attitude are key selection criteria, with additional mentoring and training, both within and external to the organisation being part of the employment scope.
