  • Temporary full-time position (18 Months)
  • Based in Daylesford and Aquatic Facilities within the Shire
  • Up to 50% Work from Home option (during off season April to November annually)
  • Classified under the HSC Enterprise Agreement as Band 6
  • Starting $41.90 per hour + 11.5% super and leave loading. 
  • On call allowance $155.18/week during pool season December to April annually
  • Spread of FT hours over 7 days/week during the pool season December April annually

How you'll make a difference

As the Aquatics Officer you will be responsible for leading the management and operations of Council’s outdoor aquatics provision and be part of a committed team to deliver a customer focused, safe and high-quality service to the patrons of our aquatics facilities.

Our ideal candidate 

As our ideal Aquatics Officer, you will have

  • A customer-focused approach to the delivery of Council’s outdoor aquatics provision.
  • Proven ability in planning, managing and operating community recreation and/or aquatics facilities, programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in aquatics operations including plant and OHS management responsibilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage own time and work outcomes successfully with minimal supervision.
  • Awareness of general principles of supervision of others including recruitment, HR and Workplace Safety & Risk Management.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain good working relationships, positively influence others and advocate for successful outcomes. 
  • Well-developed administration skills including accounts and budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess situations and manage appropriately.
  • Model Council values and be an integral member of the Sport and Recreation Team.
