Hepburn Shire Council and Central Highlands Rural Health Services have joined forces and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalise their commitment to work together to support and improve the health and wellbeing of the Hepburn Shire community.
Hepburn Shire is currently working on an integrated planning project, ‘Hepburn Together’, that will embed the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan into the Council Plan.
Central Highlands Rural Health has worked closely with Council to ensure that their Integrated Health Promotion Plan speaks to the Council Plan’s ensuring a collaborative approach is taken to support Health and Wellbeing of community members.
Acting CEO, Bradley Thomas, stated at the recent Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Co-Design workshop, “As a small rural Council can’t do it alone”.
“When working together we can achieve more. Partnerships and collaboratively working towards common goals are the key to making sustainable change for our communities,” said Mr Thomas.
