Hepburn Shire Council has received more than 1,000 submissions for Stage two of the Hepburn Together Project and is encouraging the community to continue to provide input before the current round of community engagement closes at midnight on Friday, 19 March.
People have provided input via an online survey, and Councillors and staff have held conversations with community members across the shire at 13 pop-up sessions, two morning teas, and at sessions with school students and the business community.
Mayor, Cr Lesley Hewitt, said Councillors and staff have been impressed by the level of interest and participation from the community.
“People of all ages have taken the time to share with us what they love about our Shire and where they would like us to be in the next ten years and beyond,” said Cr Hewitt.
“It’s been wonderful to hear so many voices and ideas at our pop-up sessions and morning teas and via our online survey. We’ve also had some brilliant artwork from local children expressing what they love about the Shire.
“Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback. If you haven’t had the chance to get involved please head online and complete the survey,” she said.
