Hepburn Shire Council has awarded $25,320 to support community-led projects in the latest round of funding through its community grants program. This funding will support initiatives valued at $88,460.
Mayor, Cr Brian Hood, said that it was gratifying to see such a diversity of recipients in this round of grants.
“Council’s community grants program aligns with our objective to support the strength and resilience of the community. This funding makes a big difference to community groups when it comes to purchasing much-needed equipment or delivering a project,” said Cr Hood.
“This round we are supporting such a variety of projects. From theatrical performances and the purchase of safety equipment, to support for community lunches, delivery of firewood and relief for at-risk and homeless people,” he said.
“There are so many local groups doing wonderful things for our community and Council is proud to support them.”
