Council services to re-open from Monday

Council will re-open key services to the public from Monday, 7 June following changes to the Victorian State Government’s circuit breaker lockdown for regional areas.
Customer Service Centres, Visitor Information Centres, Libraries and Tip Shops in Hepburn Shire will re-open on Monday.
As with other businesses and venues, visitors will be required to check-in to Council sites using a QR code.
Under the updated restrictions, masks will still be required indoors and outside where it is not possible to physically distance 1.5m from others.
Bradley Thomas, Hepburn Shire Council CEO, reiterated the importance for the community to work together to keep one another safe.
“The recent COVID-19 outbreak reminds us how quickly things can change and the need to respond collectively against this virus,” said Mr Thomas.
“We all know what we need to do – wear a mask, sanitise our hands, practice good hygiene, and check in to venues.
“Get tested if you have any COVID-19 symptoms and if you are eligible, please get vaccinated.”
The changes to restrictions mean that density limits will be in place for a range of activities, such as retail, hospitality and workplaces.
“Many of our local businesses will have greater responsibilities to ensure they meet the required density limits and that people check into their venue or business,” said Mr Thomas. “We urge everyone to be respectful and help each other out where you can.”
