Big weekend of events in Hepburn Shire
Published on 14 July 2022
Hepburn Shire Council is delighted to be a major partner of two fantastic events happening in the Shire this weekend.
Westbound Productions are bringing Winter Sounds to Bullarto, Daylesford, Glenlyon and Hepburn Springs from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 July. It has been quite the journey for this event, since 2019 organisers have attempted to bring it to the Shire, but due to cancellations from COVID-19 lockdowns this is the first time the event will proceed. It will be an amazing weekend of intimate performances taking place in some of the most beautiful historic buildings in and around Daylesford.
Borealis also kicks off this weekend for an eight-week period, with many tickets already sold. Producers, Andrew Kay and Associates, Gluttony and Option 2 Design and Management have been working closely with Council and Daylesford Macedon Tourism to make this event happen.
Mayor Tim Drylie said it’s exciting to have these kinds of events back on the calendar.
“Events play a huge role in supporting our visitor economy and community wellbeing, so we are very pleased to partner with both Winter Sounds and Borealis. These events will showcase some of the spectacular parts of our shire,” said Cr Drylie.
The events are contributing to Council achieving its Events Strategy vision of being the premier regional Victoria events destination. One that features a diverse, vibrant, inclusive calendar of events, that drives visitation, delivers positive social, cultural and economic benefit for our community.
If you are visiting Hepburn Shire this weekend, why not explore our beautiful region – there is so much to see and do. If you are part of the local community, we hope you enjoy this world class event in our own backyard.
