Daylesford Cider

Daylesford Cider is the perfect blend of artisanal tradition and the bounty of English heritage cider apples grown organically on the farm.

Under the careful stewardship of Clare and Jon Mackie, Daylesford Cider has blossomed into a beacon for cider aficionados, winning medals yearly at shows such as the national Australian Cider Awards. Their dedication to the craft is evident in every glass, offering a variety of styles to suit all preferences, from the robust and tannic to the light and fruity.

A welcoming tasting room is open daily from 10am for visitors to sample the award-winning creations. Currently boasting over 12 styles of craft cider - one of the broadest ranges available within Australia, all made onsite by the head cider-maker Jon Mackie. In addition to their own impressive range of ciders, the drinks list also includes local wines, beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic options.

The restaurant is open daily for lunch and tables can be effortlessly reserved through the website. Advance bookings are highly recommended, particularly on weekends and during peak times.

Wood fired pizzas will be served daily (as of Spring 2024), cooked fresh in the outdoor pizza oven. The wood fired pizza menu will be complemented by other items such as cheese and charcuterie boards, share plates and desserts. The menu focuses on relaxed shared dining, featuring homemade items and locally sourced produce.

Tucked away down a quiet country lane, only 5 minutes from Daylesford, it really is a must-do when visiting the area. The venue itself oozes the character and charm of an English style tavern, with cosy dining spaces perfect for escaping the cold. The surrounding landscaped gardens provide the ideal spot in summer to revitalise and recharge, soaking up the country air. The venue is well set up for larger groups, private functions as well as weddings. The marquee covered courtyard is also dog friendly, providing protected seating outside all-year round.
